Most readings are still relevant, though the reported wind may not reflect airport winds. You can always call
the O86 AWOS at 530-266-3220. The Trinity Center weather station provides data every ten minutes to the
Citizen Weather Observation Program (CWOP) . This data is gathered from thousands of sites around the world and submitted to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It is used to develop and verify weather forecasts by the National Weather Service, and it is disseminated to many research organizations studying climate. The data submitted to CWOP by this station may be viewed here. It is checked for data quality by the NOAA Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System (MADIS). The weather station is a Davis Vantage Pro2.
